Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of CleanGuard's website and services. Please read them carefully. By booking services or using our site you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use our site or request our services. CleanGuard provides residential and commercial cleaning services as described on our Services page. Acceptance of a booking through our online booking system, written estimate, or phone confirmation creates a service agreement between you and CleanGuard. The agreement describes the specific services to be provided, scheduling, payment terms, and any service-specific conditions. We reserve the right to refuse service for reasons including safety concerns, unmanageable hazards, or access restrictions. Our pricing and scheduling practices are outlined in the Services page and related written estimates. Any custom agreements will be documented and signed where required. These Terms also govern cancellations, rescheduling, and liability limitations. For questions, contact our support team at [email protected] or call +1 (415) 555-0123. The address for legal notices is 1209 Market St, Suite 400, San Francisco, CA 94103, United States.
Bookings, Payments, and Cancellation
Bookings are confirmed when you receive a written confirmation via email or an accepted online booking. Payment terms are specified in the estimate or invoice; residential maintenance typically requires payment upon completion, while commercial accounts may have net payment terms specified in a contract. We accept payment through our listed payment processors. Cancellations made with at least 48 hours' notice for scheduled appointments usually incur no charge. Short-notice cancellations or no-shows may result in a cancellation fee up to the value of 50% of the scheduled service. Move-in/move-out and specialty services may require a deposit to hold the booking; deposit terms will be stated in the estimate. If CleanGuard must reschedule due to staff availability, weather, or unforeseen circumstances, we will notify you promptly and propose alternatives. For recurring services any changes to frequency or scope are effective after confirmation by both parties. Refunds and credits are handled in accordance with the payment method used and processing times of the payment provider.
Liability, Insurance, and Warranties
CleanGuard maintains general liability insurance and performs background checks for staff, but there are practical limits to liability for service work. We strive to handle items and spaces carefully; however, customers should secure or remove fragile, valuable, or sentimental items before service. For damage claims, report the issue within 48 hours and provide photos and a description; we will investigate and, where covered, repair or reimburse for verifiable damage caused directly by our personnel. CleanGuard's liability for direct damages is limited to the total fee paid for the service in question unless otherwise specified in a written contract. CleanGuard does not warrant results for pre-existing conditions such as permanent stains, structural defects, or hidden damage. For specialized treatments such as deep carpet cleaning or stain removal, we provide realistic expectations and recommendations in writing. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Acceptable Use and Conduct
When using the site, you agree not to misuse services, submit false information, or attempt to access restricted areas. CleanGuard reserves the right to decline service or remove access for users who engage in abusive, threatening, or illegal behavior toward staff or other users. Our teams are instructed to leave any environment that poses a safety risk and report incidents to management. Customers must provide accurate access instructions and disclose conditions such as pet presence, hazardous materials, or areas with restricted entry. For commercial accounts, follow building policies and provide any necessary passes or approvals for technicians. Any misuse of the site, including attempts to automate bookings without authorization or to probe for security issues, is prohibited. We may suspend accounts or pursue remedies for repeated violations.
Governing Law and Changes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California without regard to conflict of laws principles. Disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of state or federal courts located in San Francisco County. CleanGuard may update these Terms from time to time to reflect operational or legal changes; material changes will be posted with an updated effective date and, when appropriate, notified to customers by email. Continued use of the site or retention of services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you have questions about these Terms or need a copy of a previous version, contact us at [email protected] or by mail at 1209 Market St, Suite 400, San Francisco, CA 94103, United States.
